Built in 1884 at the corner of bustling Cedar Street and Cottage Street (now Third and Louisiana), this brick vernacular-style building has seen more than a century of the town's activity and growth. Among its early occupants were a tailor shop, an apothecary, a soda fountain, doctors' offices, and a clothing store. Stroll through the street and find interesting shops, boutiques, and galleries, as well as the Door County Historical and Maritime Museums, the library, Miller Art Center, and the Market Square. Located just three blocks from the waterfront and close to numerous parks, guests can enjoy sailing, playing tennis, picnicking, going to the beach, and watching sunsets. The historically inclined may wish to tour through the town's designated historic districts. Small private parties are welcomed.
