General Lafayette Inn & Brewery is a quiet
and secluded area but is convenient to all points in the Philadelphia
metropolitan area. Surrounded by tall oaks with a beautiful view of Old St.
Peter's church, the five-bedroom guest house is connected to the restaurant
and brewery by a lighted brick footpath. The inn is located at the
northwestern tip of Philadelphia's Fairmount Park, outside of historic
Chestnut Hill. Guests may bicycle eleven miles through the park along
Forbidden Drive and right up to the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Live English
pub and jazz music is played in the restaurant's tavern on Thursday, Friday,
and Saturday. Small private parties are welcomed.
