From the book-filled library, where guests may take afternoon tea, to the cozy dining room, there’s no doubt that this is a personal setting designed to delight. Three generous-sized suites welcome visitors year-round. Each room features little extras, including embroidered pillowcases, Godiva chocolates, and sumptuous towels. Charming in the cold seasons when the fireplace and potbelly stove blaze, the 1880 House is equally alluring in warm weather, with both a swimming pool and a tennis court. When it’s time to end a visit, Elsie sends each guest off with a homemade goodie as sweet as the 1880 House itself. Small private parties are welcomed. Travel agency receives commission from inn.
