This historic 1820 inn was originally a stagecoach stop on the old Federal Road. Set on six acres in a park-like setting, this peaceful sanctuary is five miles from the heart of Athens. The inn has been restored and updated and features seven guest rooms and two suites, all of which are elegantly appointed and decorated. Period antiques and Civil War memorabilia abound throughout the inn. The lovely veranda invites guests to spend a relaxing evening watching the friendly deer feed in the yard. Each room has a ceiling fan and air conditioning. Breakfast features fruit, fresh baked goods, yogurt, cereal, and, often, special hot entrees. Small private parties are welcomed.
