This center-chimney Colonial-style house, built in 1784, was formerly the Old Mystic Book Shop. The building has been fully restored, and the carriage house was built in 1988. The charm of the old has been preserved and blended with modern conveniences, making each stay unique and comfortable. The guest rooms are named after New England authors, and special touches make the inn feel like a home away from home. The inn is minutes by car to all area attractions, including the Seaport Museum, the aquarium, casinos, and Old Mystic Village. Small private parties are welcomed.
